Mike Crowely
Dr. Mike Crowely graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 after attending Thomas More College. He shares a home with his wife Stephanie in Butler where they raised three children and a mix of dogs, cats, and horses. Dr. Mike enjoys internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and diagnosis and treatment of ear disease. He is active in organized veterinary medicine and was honored to be the President of the Kentucky Veterinary Association in 2011.

Steve Enzweiler
Dr. Steve Enzweiler has been practicing medicine at GLVH since 1997. Dr. Enzweiler, who graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, also attended Northern Kentucky University for his undergraduate studies. He was born and raised in Fort Thomas and a proud Newport Central Catholic High School Alum. He shares a small farm in Grants Lick with his children and mix of dogs, cats, a horse, and a goat. He naturally is a huge animal lover, and avid outdoorsman, and a die-hard Auburn Tigers fan. WAR EAGLE!

Kate Middendorf
Dr. Middendorf joined our veterinary staff in 2003, she works mostly in patient receiving. She is a 1998 graduate of Auburn University. Originally from Ft. Mitchell, KY, Dr. Kate did her pre-vet studies at the University of Kentucky, where she also completed a degree in zoology. Dr. Kate has a menagerie of dogs and cats and takes great pride in caring for them. She is involved in conformation and obedience exhibition with her dogs. Her hobbies include shopping, reading, spending time with family and friends, and anything Disney.

Melvin Leap
As a native of Campbell County, Dr. Leap graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Leap enjoys country living on a small farm with his pets and son, Henry.

Rachel Miller
Dr. Rachel Miller was born and raised in the mountains of Pikeville, KY. She attended the University of Pikeville where she obtained a BS in Biology. After undergrad, Dr. Miller went straight into veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University in East Tennessee. She relocated to Alexandria, KY with her best girl, a blue heeler, named Jazz. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, football (Go Bengals!), and exploring new places. She is excited to begin her career at Grant’s Lick Veterinary Hospital to serve our clients and patients.

Brittany Sauerbeck
Dr. Brittany Suerbeck (Rust) was born and raised in Cold Spring, Kentucky. Brittany had grown up working as an assistant right here at Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital for 6 years. She attended Morehead State University for undergrad where she received her bachelor’s degree in veterinary science. Following undergrad, she went on to attend Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from Auburn in 2025. She moved back home and married her husband, Nick Sauerbeck, in June of 2025. They share their home with two Tennessee Walking horses, a Golden Retriever mix, and a Bernese Mountain dog. In her free time, Brittany enjoys boating, wake surfing, hiking and training/showing/trail riding gaited horses. She is beyond excited to begin her career here at Grants Lick and serve the community that she grew up in.

Jen Campbell
A local of Grant’s Lick, Dr. Jen Campbell attended Eastern Kentucky University for her Bachelor’s degree before moving on to attend veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University. After graduation in 2023, she worked in emergency medicine before making the transition to primary care. Outside of work, you’ll often find her cozied up with a good book and her very spoiled cat, Willow. She is delighted to be a part of the team and continue to serve her community.

Brandon
Brandon graduated from Georgetown College with his bachelor’s degree in psychology before pursuing post-bachelor education from the university of Kentucky and Purdue University. He is very active in the veterinary community speaking at national/regional conferences and helping veterinary professionals across the United States. His experience within veterinary medicine spans nearly every role within a practice and has managed practices as large as 180 employees.

Brittany
Brittany has spent her career dedicated to veterinary medicine, growing from humble beginnings as a hospital volunteer to her current role as Hospital Administrator. She began as a volunteer and worked her way through nearly every role in the hospital before becoming a licensed veterinary technician. Her curiosity and drive for leadership led her into management, where she earned both her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and SHRM- CP credentials. Today, Brittany oversees the hospital, focusing on strategic growth, strong culture, and team success. When she’s not working, she loves spending time outdoors – whether hunting, fishing, or making memories with her family.

Donna
Another true animal lover on our team, Donna has dogs, cats, horses, and rabbits. She has been known to transport a pony in the back seat of her car and dress her pets in fashionable clothing. Since 1996, Donna has held several positions within the practice including Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant, and Veterinary Technician. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Cierra
Cierra joined the GLVH with a strong background in animal care and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland. In her role, she is passionate about supporting staff development, streamlining onboarding processes, fostering team celebrations, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice. Outside of work, Cierra enjoys an active life with her husband and three children, often found at the football field, tackling home renovations projects, crafting, or creating lasting family memories.

Taylor
Taylor joined the GLVH team in April of 2021 and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She is currently in school working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Veterinary Science. She loves all animals, especially her cat, Hanami.

Kayla
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, Kayla spends her days assisting in the operating room, making sure every patient receives the best care possible. Outside of work, she is happily surrounded by her beloved cats who keep life fun and full of love. Caring for animals isn’t just a job for her- it is who she is.

Morgan
Morgan first joined GLVH as a high school shadowing student and was officially hired in September 2019 as a Kennel Attendant. While working, Morgan furthered her education at Morehead State University, earning an associate’s degree in 2023 and a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology in 2024, the same year she became licensed.
Morgan’s favorite part of her role is spoiling patients with treats, supporting them through surgery or their hospitalization from start to finish, and educating clients along the way. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and pets. Morgan also loves music, collecting plants and crystals, and opening her home to cats in need.

Tim
Tim Schneider joined the team in May of 2017 as a veterinary assistant after spending a 30-year career in education, 28 of those years serving the Campbell County School district. Tim has four grown children, several grandchildren and a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, and tropical fish. He enjoys being with family, spending time outdoors and showing his Rhodesian Ridgebacks in AKC conformation events.

Dylan
Dylan is a freshman pre-veterinary student at Midway University where he plans on double majoring in Equine Science and Biology. Dylan is most interested in mixed animal practice and internal medicine. Dylan loves spending time riding horses, enjoying his dogs Domino and Reggie, and hanging out with friends. Dylan is very passionate about animal care and is thrilled to be a member of our team.

I joined the team in 2021. I attended Ross Medical Education Center where I earned my certificate in veterinary Assisting. I grew up in the Northern Kentucky area. I enjoy advocating for my animals, spending time with my family, going on hikes with my daughter Amelia and cuddling with my cat Penny.

Alisha
I graduated from Grant Career Center in 2019 with my veterinary assistant certificate. My love for animals started when I was very little. In my free time, I enjoy helping my boyfriend work on the farm and take care of the cows, chickens, and dogs. I also help him work on his project trucks. I enjoy veterinary medicine and might one day further my education and become a veterinary technician.

Hannah joined our team in 2021 and is affectionately known as the “cat lady”, though her love for dogs is just as strong. She enjoys watching animals grow and creating lasting bonds that go beyond the first introduction. Outside of work, she spends time with her pets, relaxing by the creek, and never passes up a trip visiting places rich in history.

Sam
Sam joined the GLVH with a decade of experience in the veterinary industry. She loves helping animals while building bonds with people who have those same morals. She enjoys coming home at the end of the day, knowing she made a difference in the world, even if it is small. Sam has two collie mixes of her own, Banner and Fury. In her time off, she likes cooking, hiking, camping, adventuring, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves live music, watching movies, and making others laugh.

Bethany
Bethany’s love for animals started in childhood while growing up with lots of family pets and first job being in Veterinary Medicine. Outside of work, she shares a joyful life with her fiancé, John. Together, they enjoy hiking, kayaking, and fishing. At home, they’re kept busy and entertained by their beloved pets.

Christina started with us in September 2008. She’s loved animals her whole life. Started with her first cat at 3 years old. She has a daughter, Peyton, that is following in her footsteps sharing her love for animals as well. If her husband would let them, they would have a houseful of animals. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family when she’s not working.

Tammy
My name is Tammy. I am Alexandria, Ky. Born and raised. As a child, I lived on a farm. We had dogs, lots of barn cats, horses and over 90 ponies. I graduated from Campbell County High School, then earned my Bachelor of Science degree from NKU in Anthropology in 1988. I currently live in Grant’s Lick with my husband, Sam and four dogs – Bear, Chance, Rocky and Tinkerbell. We have lived in Grant’s Lick for over 30 years where we raised our three sons – TJ, Johnny and James. I enjoy spending time with family and friends as often as I can, reading, karaoke, dancing and binge-watching shows on Netflix with my husband and our four-legged kids.

Cheyenne joined the GLVH team in December 2021. She has always adored animals and has taken many strays/rescues into her loving home. She currently lives in California, Ky with her Fiancé, Josh, and their two fur babies, Olive and Astro. In their free time they enjoy camping, hiking, and exploring new places.

Sierra
Sierra joined the team in June 2020 for her very first job. Currently pursuing her education at Northern Kentucky University, Sierra is expected to graduate in May 2026. When she’s not working or studying, Sierra enjoys being outdoors, particularly when she’s fishing or riding her horses. Growing up in Grant’s Lick, KY, Sierra has been immersed in a variety of pets, including bunnies, cats, dogs, goats, horses, and a skunk. Sierra’s early years saw her regularly riding the school bus to Grant’s Lick Veterinary Hospital, where her mother was employed.

Kate was born and raised in Peach Grove, KY, and graduated from Pendleton County High School in 2022. In her free time, she enjoys collecting National Park stamps and going on walks with her Shiba Inu, Riley. The two love exploring together—whether it’s hiking, taking scenic car rides, or heading out on new adventures. On weekends, Kate also enjoys playing in her local pool league.
